Ways to Give

Each year Friendly House LA honors women in the community for their outstanding dedication and service to local community organizations. The prestigious “Woman of the Year” and “Excellence In Service” Awards are given each year at the annual Friendly House LA Awards Luncheon.

Woman of the Year 2008
The prestigious Friendly House LA Woman of the Year Award recognizes remarkable, enterprising, and inspiring women who have made significant civic and charitable contributions to the community. We congratulate Candy Spelling, widow of legendary television producer Aaron Spelling and an active philanthropist and civic leader in her own right as she was elected Woman of the Year 2008.

Excellence In Service 2008
The Friendly House LA Excellence In Service Award recognizes women who have delivered significant civic and charitable service to the community. The 2008 Excellence In Service Award went to Liz LoPresti. LoPresti has been an enduring and supportive force the men and women in the recovery community for many years.
