Ways to Give

Friendly House LA has been volunteer driven since it was established in 1951. Whether they participate as a board member, in a special event, or as a speaker or driver, volunteers are the heart and soul of Friendly House LA.

Friendly House LA needs volunteer drivers to take the residents to meetings, appointments, etc. at both the Normandie and Castle Heights houses. A current California driver’s license and proof of insurance are required. Drivers are needed for both day and evening trips. We also need facilitators – both ongoing and back up - to do Big Book and 12 & 12 step study groups. Facilitators must be sober for one year.

Volunteers are needed for special events that occur though out the year.  Whether it be helping with guest registration or the silent auction at the Luncheon to baking goods to sell at the bake sale at our Holiday open house, we need your talents!  Volunteers who express an interest with specific events will be contacted with details as the date of the event approaches.
